Mace DeVries– Chief Instructor
Mr. DeVries is a 5th Degree Black Belt and Certified Instructor since 1989. He has been a 5-time State Champion in Forms, Weapons, and Sparring.
He grew up in Crete, IL, attending Crete-Monee HS where he earned an Evans Scholarship to Northwestern University.
It was at Northwestern that he began training in Taekwondo. His instructors are Douglas Nakane, 6th Degree, and Master Rick Whitehead, 6th Degree.
He and his wife Dawn DeVries live in Crete township. He is a runner, falconer, prairie restorationist, and a lousy guitar player. |
