The Details ATA Taekwondo is the largest single style martial arts organization in the world, with schools in every US state, Canada, Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. What we teach here is the same curriculum as in Korea, although our style and flavor might be a little different.
We are a family oriented organization, and are comfortable teaching all family members– Kids, Parents, and Seniors. All ages can and will benefit from Taekwondo training. Our goal is maximum development of the individual: physically, mentally, and spiritually. We strenghten the body, challenge the mind and nourish the spirit.
“Every kid is special– Every kid is a winner” is how we teach our children. We help them develop their motor skills, flexibility, strength, and coordination. As these areas improve, they increase their self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-discipline. When the student achieves goals, their sense of ‘personal victory’ and self –control and self-determination is awakened and strengthened.
The rank of Black Belt is the goal of everyone who trains in Taekwondo, but it is not the end of training– As there are nine ranks of colored belts, there are nine degrees of Black Belt. To earn your first degree black belt does not mean you are a master, only a very dedicated student. |
